The Commercial Truck Sales Executive at Smith International Truck Center is a vital role focused on driving sales growth and fostering strong client relationships. The executive will identify new business opportunities, manage accounts, and ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and strategic selling techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cold calling to generate new leads and expand the customer base.
  • Engage in upselling opportunities to maximize revenue from existing accounts.
  • Utilize sales management software to track progress, manage leads, and report on sales activities.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with prospective clients effectively.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Manage accounts to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retention of clients.
  • Participate in outside sales activities, including attending trade shows and networking events to promote products/services.
  • Ability to work with clients in regard to commercial truck specification needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitor offerings.

Requirements

  • Strong skills in cold calling and lead generation techniques.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
  • Proficiency in using software tools for sales management and reporting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on relationship building.
  • Experience in account management with a track record of maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in an outside sales capacity.
  • Possession of a Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (Preferred but not required).
