About the position

As a Commercial Underwriter III at PNC Financial Services Group, you will work independently to prepare loan offerings and manage a portfolio of transactions. This remote position requires you to analyze credit and financial worthiness, interact with customers, and make credit decisions while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. You will also serve as a subject matter expert and may coach other underwriters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare loan offerings for various transactions and manage assigned portfolios.
• Analyze credit, collateral strength, and financial worthiness of loan parties.
• Interact with internal and external customers to gather information and clarify inconsistencies.
• Perform ongoing credit risk management for assigned portfolios.
• Make recommendations on credit decisions or make credit decisions directly as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Coach and review the work of other underwriters as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (including military service).
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience in underwriting or financial analysis.
• Ability to exercise exception and elevated approval authority.
