About the position

Kforce has a client in Sandy, UT that is seeking a Commercial Underwriter for a full-time position. This role reports to the Underwriting Manager and offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a supportive work environment. The Commercial Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating risks for new and renewing accounts, recommending coverage terms and premiums, and managing a portfolio to drive growth, profitability, and client retention. The position requires delivering exceptional customer service to both internal teams and external clients, ensuring that all underwriting processes align with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risks for new and renewing accounts to recommend coverage terms and premiums
• Manage a portfolio to drive growth, profitability, and client retention
• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal teams and external clients

Requirements

• Preferred certifications: CPCU, ARM, CIC, or similar
• 3+ years of experience in workers' compensation underwriting
• 3+ years of experience with Commercial Package Policies, Businessowners policies, Commercial Auto, and Umbrella underwriting
• Familiarity with NCCI and state bureau manuals, rules, and classifications
• Knowledge of ISO forms and rules
