About the position

The Commissioning Agent role at Black & Veatch involves ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards during project execution. The position requires managing the commissioning scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with internal and external team members. The role also demands technical expertise in engineering processes and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work execution is in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Manage commissioning scope, schedule, budget, and quality on the assigned project.
• Actively coordinate with all other internal/external team members on projects.
• Act as a technical specialist by the division, having in-depth knowledge of an engineering process and/or technical aspects of the industry.
• Actively share knowledge with other staff members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commissioning on projects of similar size and scope.
• Documented experience as a lead person responsible for commissioning of systems similar to those in construction projects.
• Knowledge of mechanical and control's system startup, TAB, and PVT.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional Engineer License preferred.
• Commissioning Agent certification from a nationally recognized commissioning organization.
