About the position

The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing the commissioning of hydrogen electrolyzer equipment at customer sites, ensuring that all activities are completed within the established schedule and budget. This role involves performing site acceptance tests (SAT) to facilitate the final handover and acceptance of the equipment by customers. The engineer will supervise installation and construction activities at customer sites, managing subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and timelines. Additionally, the role requires conducting site surveys to support proposals, site selection, and defining site requirements. In-house testing of manufactured equipment will also be a key responsibility, ensuring that all systems meet quality and performance standards before deployment. The engineer will be expected to resolve any installation issues by collaborating with management, engineering, quality control, and contractors. Effective communication is essential, as the engineer will promote the efficient flow of information and maintain complete and proper records of all commissioned equipment. This position is critical in ensuring that projects are delivered successfully and that customer satisfaction is achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the commissioning of hydrogen electrolyzer equipment at customer sites within the schedule and budget.
  • Perform site acceptance test (SAT) for final handover/acceptance by customers.
  • Supervise installation and construction activities at customer sites.
  • Manage subcontractors on location.
  • Conduct site surveys in support of proposals, site selection and site requirements definition.
  • Conduct in-house testing of manufactured equipment in local test facility.
  • Resolve installation issues, procedures, and methods by working with management, engineering, quality control and contractors.
  • Promote efficient flow of information and ensure complete and proper record keeping of commissioned equipment.

Requirements

  • BE Mechanical/ BE Instrumentation (Electromechanics).
  • Working experience on SCADA/PLC/VFDs/Process Plant automation/Utilities/Industrial Networks/Gas systems backgrounds.
  • Good instrumentation and controls experience.
  • Hands-on, practical engineering experience including the ability to interpret schematic diagrams and technical specification documents.
  • Demonstrate a tenacious personality and the ability to manage a high volume of customer needs at any time.
  • Previous EPC, Oil & Gas experience is considered an asset.
