About the position

The Commission Analyst is responsible for managing the commission payment process for all sales consultants, ensuring accurate and timely calculations of commissions and incentives. This role involves analyzing the Compensation Plan, auditing commission management software, and addressing discrepancies. Additionally, the Commission Analyst will handle payroll processing for all employees and assist with benefits coordination, playing a critical role in the company's daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Become proficient in the company's Commission Plan and commission management system to process commissions and incentive payments.
• Calculate independent sales force commissions on a monthly and weekly basis.
• Analyze commission management system output for reasonability based on sales trends.
• Identify discrepancies and update the commission management system accordingly.
• Manage Zendesk tickets related to commission payments and resolve issues.
• Analyze monthly incentives and determine if an incentive template or manual calculation is needed.
• Analyze financial data to detect patterns and areas for improvement in the commission payment process.
• Calculate sales bonuses on a quarterly basis using Tableau.
• Prepare detailed reports on reconciliation activities and discrepancies identified.
• Ensure Compensation Plan details are accurately reflected in systems and documentation.
• Work with Accounting to prepare and generate 1099 forms for commission payments.
• Test activities of all changes to the commission calculation scheme in Exigo.
• Work closely with internal and external parties to resolve issues and improve the commission payment process.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for payroll and benefits.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience calculating commission payments.
• Experience with calculating commissions in Exigo.
• Intermediate competency in Microsoft Excel.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and reporting.
• Ability to spot and correct errors in complex data sets.
• Strong ability to analyze data and identify trends or discrepancies.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing.
• Familiarity with IRS regulations regarding commission payments.
