About the position

Atria Wealth Solutions is seeking a talented Commission Analyst to join our team in a critical role that ensures our sales representatives are compensated accurately and on time. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our commission processes and requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong grasp of Excel and accounting principles. The Commission Analyst will be responsible for preparing commission calculations and monthly reports, responding to inquiries related to commissions, and assisting with the commission cycle close for multiple entities. The role also involves making outbound calls to fund companies to research open items and working closely with them to set up electronic funding and statement reconciliation. Additionally, the Commission Analyst will support accounting audits by pulling requested documentation and fixing errors from direct business files. This position is hybrid, allowing for flexibility in working from one of our office locations in San Diego, Syracuse, or Houston.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare commission calculations for sales representatives using Excel and PDF formats.
  • Prepare monthly commission reports for various programs.
  • Respond to and research commission-related emails and phone requests.
  • Assist with the commission prep-list and commission cycle close for multiple entities.
  • Make outbound calls to fund companies to research open items.
  • Collaborate with fund companies to set up electronic funding and statement reconciliation.
  • Provide backup for filing, DTCC, and data entry tasks.
  • Support accounting audits by pulling requested documentation as needed.
  • Correct errors from direct business files.
  • Research accounts in the database (Unio) and apply information into the company system (Xtiva).

Requirements

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience; Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or 1+ years of related experience and/or training.
  • Commission/Accounting knowledge preferred.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel and Word experience required, including pivot-tables, macros, vlookup, and formulas.
  • Experience with Windows applications such as Windows Explorer, MS Word, and Internet Explorer is required.
  • 10-key proficiency and knowledge of SAGE/AccPac preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, including data analysis.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with multiple project deliverables and be a motivated self-starter.
