About the position
The Commissions Specialist at Morgan White Group is responsible for ensuring that commissionable earnings are issued accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to established policies and procedures. This entry-level position requires strong organizational and customer service skills, as well as proficiency in various computer applications. The role involves assisting producers with commission-related inquiries and maintaining accurate records, all while working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure commissionable earnings are issued accurately and timely.
- Assist producers with licensing, appointment, and commission questions.
- Maintain producer records for accuracy.
- Prepare monthly Premium/Commission reports.
- Utilize knowledge of insurance concepts and practices to perform job functions.
- Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to complete tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of previous experience in the life and health insurance industry preferred.
- General computer skills and proficiency in MS Outlook, Windows, Excel, and Word required.
- Basic data entry skills and above-average mathematical skills required.
- Ability to learn and become proficient with software used in the TPA Departments.
- Strong time management, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills required.
- Ability to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
