About the position

The Credit Risk Senior Analyst role within the Institutional Credit Management Risk Analysis Unit (IRAU) is focused on delivering comprehensive credit risk analysis and monitoring for a portfolio of ICM Risk Relationships. This position requires a strong understanding of credit risk, industry fundamentals, and Citi's internal policies, with responsibilities including credit assessments, documentation, and continuous portfolio monitoring. Analysts will work closely with ICM Risk and Banking partners and may require some supervision for complex credit situations.

Responsibilities

• Assess the credit and financial strength of Citi's Commodity Clients through fundamental credit analysis.
• Complete Credit Analysis Write-up Memos and Final Obligor Risk Ratings based on independent assessments.
• Perform timely Transaction memos approvals according to business priorities.
• Make recommendations to the Second Line of Defense on risk ratings and classifications using independent judgment.
• Continuously monitor the covered portfolio and escalate potential credit issues to Credit Risk Team Leads.
• Partner with regional and industry stakeholders in implementing credit assessment and monitoring standards.
• Support ICM Risk Analysis Voice of the Employee (VOE) initiatives.

Requirements

• BA/BSc in Finance or Accounting or higher degree in Business (MBA) or related subject.
• 2-3 years of credit experience in banking or credit risk management.
• Intermediate analytical skills with an understanding of key financial components.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial statements and GAAP accounting.
• Strong understanding of Credit Policy and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Progressive experience with internal ICM Templates and financial modeling.
