About the position

The Commodity Logistics and Deal Management Vessel Operations Analyst role at Macquarie focuses on managing vessel logistics and voyage operations within the oil and agricultural commodity sectors. This position involves supporting physical transactions, managing logistics and scheduling tasks, and collaborating with various internal stakeholders to ensure effective operations across the Americas.

Responsibilities

• Manage vessel logistics and voyage operations for oil and agricultural commodities.
• Support physical oil and agricultural transactions throughout the Americas.
• Handle data and management reporting initiatives, insurance and compliance reporting tasks, and funding management.
• Effectively manage logistics and scheduling tasks within the deal portfolio, including waterborne movements and inventory management.
• Collaborate with commodity trading desks and support areas in tax, market operations, and legal.

Requirements

• Experience in tanker vessel operations and oil logistics.
• Understanding of commodity scheduling and shipping risk.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond to tight deadline requirements with a sense of urgency and accountability.
• Experience in RightAngle is a plus.
• Desire to learn about ancillary operational areas such as profit and loss reporting, position management, funding, compliance reporting, tax, and insurance.
