About the position

The Commodity Associate Manager at Denali Water Solutions LLC is responsible for managing commodity contracts, coordinating logistics, and ensuring accurate inventory management across various products. This role serves as a crucial link between vendors and internal teams, facilitating the smooth flow of commodities and addressing any issues that arise during the process.

Responsibilities

• Write and negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring all terms are clear and adhered to.
• Apply correct sales to appropriate purchases, ensuring accurate accounting of contracts and inventory.
• Set up and coordinate truck dispatching, including assigning release numbers and specifying pickup/drop-off locations.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of inventory status, ensuring all loads are released from inventory correctly or managed as back-to-back loads.
• Engage with vendors regarding open releases, request new release numbers, and check on the status of pending numbers to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain a detailed handwritten log of open release numbers to prevent duplicate load applications and ensure accuracy in inventory records.
• Address and resolve any issues that arise during the dispatching process, including delays and discrepancies, to maintain operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in commodity management, logistics, or supply chain roles.
• Strong negotiation and contract writing skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with vendors and internal teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
