About the position

The Commodity Purchasing Intern will engage in various groups within the commodity purchasing department, focusing on areas such as feed ingredients, energy, margin management, system analytics, accounting, and sustainability. This role is designed to provide interns with real-life work experience, allowing them to contribute through reporting and innovative ideas while developing their personal strengths and identifying areas for growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reporting and analytics for commodity purchasing functions.
• Contribute innovative ideas to enhance value creation within the team.
• Interact with various commodity functions to gain comprehensive exposure.
• Support the team in managing feed ingredients and energy procurement.
• Participate in sustainability initiatives related to commodity purchasing.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university with at least one year remaining.
• Preferred degrees include Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Supply Chain, or Agriculture-related fields.
• Previous work experience of any kind is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Must be a motivated self-starter with a desire to learn from others.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and time management abilities are required.
• Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.
