The Commodity Purchasing Specialist III will manage strategic procurement activities within IGT's Lottery business, focusing on delivering year-over-year improvements in essential procurement KPIs. This role will interface with senior levels of the company, leading cross-departmental strategic procurement initiatives and championing change to ensure that procurement continues to provide best-in-class strategic sourcing services. The specialist will be responsible for critical strategic sourcing of both products and services, owning the development of initial commodity strategies and maintaining these strategies on an ongoing basis. A proactive approach to inventory control and lead time reduction is essential, ensuring minimal service level disruptions and reinforcing IGT's competitiveness. The urgency of this role is paramount, as it acts as a bridge between legacy systems and new processes, ensuring a smooth transition that does not jeopardize operations. The specialist will build commodity sourcing strategies that align with IGT's overall strategy, oversee implementation activities, provide subject matter expertise, and leverage market intelligence to develop innovative commodity strategies that drive cost reduction and business value. Additionally, the role involves collaborative planning with tactical procurement, adherence to procurement metrics, and communication of performance to stakeholders.
