About the position
The Communication & Engagement Specialist will support the Informatics Department by managing internal and external communications, marketing initiatives, and engagement activities. This role is designed for a creative and collaborative individual who can independently handle multiple responsibilities while promoting community values within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Domain and Chapter Leads to draft key internal and external communications.
- Maintain and update the iGNE gWiz portal with current information.
- Oversee email communications, digital signage, surveys, and reminders for marketing campaigns.
- Assist with iGNE Site initiatives, including podcast production.
- Organize and distribute branding packages as needed.
- Plan and manage event logistics.
- Create visually appealing presentations and materials.
- Provide additional logistical and project support as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of general office experience.
- Two years of experience in marketing and communications.
- Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in mobile and computer use, including Google Suite.
- Advanced proficiency in Google presentations; beginner in spreadsheets.
