About the position

The Communication Center Representative is responsible for managing high call volumes in a clinical setting, providing customer service, and facilitating medical office referrals and insurance verifications. This onsite position plays a crucial role in ensuring patients receive timely access to pain management services offered by NSPC, a leading healthcare provider in the field of pain relief.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls and provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
• Facilitate medical office referrals and authorization processes.
• Verify insurance information and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to document patient interactions and maintain accurate records.
• Assist patients with inquiries regarding their appointments and medical services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience is required.
• Experience in a high call volume environment is required.
• Working knowledge of medical office referrals and authorization processes is required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 coding is required.
• Understanding of registration requirements and HIPAA regulations is required.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship.
