Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming calls and route them to appropriate stations.
  • Page medical center personnel as requested.
  • Respond to inquiries concerning patient conditions and other information requests.
  • Announce appropriate and urgent messages during emergencies.
  • Document events in logs or online databases.
  • Perform clerical duties such as listing on-call personnel and distributing brochures.
  • Record and process requests for telephone equipment repair.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of multi-line telephone experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to write basic correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Must pass typing test of 25 WPM.
