About the position

The Communication Specialist, Mid role focuses on enhancing stakeholder communication to support the organization's mission and objectives. The specialist will design, develop, and produce various internal and external communication materials, particularly for the space and defense community. This position requires a blend of creative problem-solving and collaborative skills to engage key audiences and promote the organization's reputation through effective messaging and social media content.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative solutions to complex communication problems.
• Design, develop, and produce internal and external communication materials.
• Consult on communication strategies that support the space and defense community.
• Oversee and author news articles and social media content.
• Track key social media metrics and analyze their effectiveness.
• Engage with senior government leaders professionally.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience creating communication products.
• Bachelor's degree in Communication or Journalism.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with creating social media content and tracking metrics.
• Knowledge of LinkedIn, X, or other social media platforms.
