About the position

This position is located in the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS), Office of Space Weather Operations (SWO), with one vacancy in Lanham, MD. Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate key messages for the Office Program to use externally with partners and the public.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the office and line office communications staff.
• Develop and recommend communication and outreach policies for the office program.
• Lead a systematic communications approach to advance office program strategic goals and objectives.
• Analyze external drivers, such as legislation or agency directives, and communicate impacts to operations and management.

Requirements

• Suitable for Federal employment, as determined by background investigation.
• Must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable.
