About the position

The Communications Specialist at ABARTA Coca-Cola Beverages plays a crucial role in supporting the HR team by designing, implementing, and maintaining effective internal and external communication strategies. This position is responsible for a wide range of communication initiatives that align with the company's strategic business and HR objectives. The specialist will handle various forms of communication, including associate communications, benefits programs, policies, community engagement, and public relations efforts. The role requires translating business strategies into key messages and developing communication initiatives that foster excitement, drive engagement, and shape the company culture. In this position, the Communications Specialist will develop, coordinate, compile, and disseminate information related to communications and employer branding. This includes creating press releases, announcements, memos, reports, videos, and presentations. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams to brainstorm content ideas that align with the company's vision and support various strategic initiatives. Additionally, the role involves supporting senior leadership communication efforts through ghostwriting, editing, and distributing internal communications to leaders and associates. The Communications Specialist will also be responsible for creating and managing internal and external newsletter content, analyzing communication campaign results for continuous improvement, and producing video content for both internal and external messaging. Collaboration with various HR areas, such as recruitment and onboarding, is essential to develop quality communications. The role may require travel to attend events and sponsorships, and the specialist will also manage content deliverables from vendors and assist with special projects as assigned by senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, compile, and disseminate information related to communications, engagement, and employer branding, including press releases, announcements, memos, reports, videos, presentations, and web design.
  • Work with key internal team members to brainstorm content ideas aligned with the company's vision and in support of various strategic initiatives.
  • Support senior leadership communication efforts including ghostwriting, editing, and distribution of internal communications to other leaders and associates.
  • Align messaging and coordinate the flow of external and internal communications.
  • Create and layout content for internal and external newsletters.
  • Support, analyze, and evaluate results of communication campaigns for continuous improvement of clarity and accessibility.
  • Create and edit video content for internal messaging and external messaging such as recruitment videos and associate interviews.
  • Collaborate with recruitment, onboarding, safety, learning management, benefits, and other HR areas to develop quality mass and targeted communications.
  • Create, manage, and analyze ACCB's exit surveys and feedback surveys.
  • Assist other ACCB teams with special projects as assigned by senior leadership.
  • Organize content deliverables internally and from vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, business, communications, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a communications, public relations, marketing, or related role.
  • High degree of confidentiality.
  • Experience with WordPress, web design, graphic design, SEO, and data analytics.
  • Photography and video capture and editing skills.
  • Demonstrated previous experience in writing and editing marketing content; experience with web and digital content preferred.
  • Experience managing branded social media accounts.
