About the position

The Communication Strategist will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies for a leading global brand. This role involves collaboration with creative teams, leading data-driven wellness and safety initiatives, and engaging employees through strategic messaging. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, audience engagement, and impactful storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Design Communication Plans by assessing team and business needs, defining goals, and framing key messages.
  • Develop integrated communication and engagement plans in partnership with creative teams.
  • Focus on audience insights to ensure the right messages are delivered at the right time to the right people.
  • Synthesize information and create actionable communication plans.
  • Work closely with business leaders and cross-functional partners to define communication objectives and negotiate creative briefs.
  • Write and edit compelling narratives for campaigns, product launches, and employee initiatives.
  • Craft senior leader talking points and create scripts that align with the organization's vision and goals.
  • Provide strategic guidance to creative teams and build strong relationships with business leaders.
  • Create concise, actionable briefs and ensure strategies align with business needs.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the target audience, including global employees and customers.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience in developing and presenting communication strategies, ideally within a media, publishing, PR, or advertising agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of how audiences engage with content and media.
  • Proven ability to craft strategies that address business challenges while aligning with audience needs.
  • Confident in navigating large, complex organizations and working with multiple stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to create clear and compelling messages that inspire behavior change and achieve business objectives.
  • Strong executional skills to transition seamlessly from strategy to execution.
  • Exceptional ability to foster relationships across teams and lead initiatives in ambiguous, dynamic environments.
  • Experience in working with international teams to develop and implement global communication strategies.
  • A genuine passion for retail and consumer experiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Editorial Writing, or related field preferred.
