About the position

The Communications Account Professional and Project Manager at talkStrategy is responsible for managing accounts and overseeing project management for communications, marketing, and public relations campaigns. This role involves leading a stable of clients, executing strategic communications plans, and ensuring the seamless integration of various communication channels. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret, manage and execute strategic and integrated communications and marketing plans for agency clients.
  • Write and edit strategic communications materials and clear, well-crafted client-facing documents.
  • Translate high level plans and campaigns into actionable projects, deliverables, tasks, timelines, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Expertly manage client/project budgets and timelines.
  • Manage and conduct all levels of media relations.
  • Oversee the seamless integration of digital, social and emerging channels into communications strategies and activations.
  • Work extensively within the Asana platform to track the status and promote progress of client tasks and projects.
  • Support account team, providing clear leadership and strong growth coaching based on level of seniority.
  • Manage all client deliverables including campaign elements, spreadsheets, memos, status documents, proposals, budget sheets, and other account maintenance documentation, maintaining high level of quality, excellence, and timeliness.
  • Coordinate and execute internal meetings, vendor/partner, or client meetings.
  • Provide editing, proofing, and quality control on client deliverables.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships with a vision for long-term account health, growth and profitability.
  • Create synergy and collaboration with internal agency counterparts and departments for fully integrated output.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from a four-year college or university (preferably in communications, marketing, advertising or related field).
  • At least ten years direct experience in marketing, public relations or public affairs capacity.
  • Advanced understanding of communications and marketing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
  • Detailed oriented, efficient, attentive, engaged, self-motivated professional.
  • Positive and empathetic attitude, team player, and strong collaborator.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task while maintaining excellent organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to understand and apply new media, content formats, specs, and more in a continuous learning process.
  • Experience managing multiple clients in a very fast-paced environment, utilizing multiple internal communications channels, and adhering to established processes.
  • Decision-making in ambiguity.
  • Discernment with and interpretation of information.
  • Expertise in Microsoft suite including Microsoft Teams and Outlook, Google Drive, Asana, and Slack.
