About the position

The Communications and Digital Marketing Coordinator at the University of Texas at Austin will support the strategic and tactical communications needs of the Undergraduate College. This role involves overseeing the coordination and creation of print and digital communication projects for key college programs, requiring excellent writing, digital communications, project management, and strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Update the Undergraduate College website using Drupal, ensuring accessibility and content updates.
  • Develop and send email campaigns using internal email tools, reviewing metrics for improvement.
  • Create and manage project schedules in Asana, collaborating with departments to track project progress.
  • Run Undergraduate College social media channels, primarily Instagram, ensuring engaging content.
  • Update or create marketing collateral and assets using Photoshop, InDesign, or Canva.
  • Write and proofread content for various communication channels, including web, social, and email.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in communications, marketing, journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to create content and communicate clearly using different channels for various audiences.
  • Experience in content management systems (e.g., Drupal, WordPress) and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana).
  • Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Knowledge of social media best practices and trends.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
