About the position

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator at The Country Club of North Carolina plays a pivotal role in managing all internal and external communications for the club. This position is designed for a creative individual who can craft engaging content and effectively promote the club's offerings. The coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the club's website, managing social media channels, and creating promotional materials that resonate with both members and potential visitors. The role requires a blend of marketing acumen and communication skills to ensure that the club's message is consistent and appealing across various platforms. In this role, the coordinator will manage the club's social media presence, which includes popular platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. They will also be tasked with creating and sending communications to members via email and text, ensuring that all members are informed about club events and updates. Additionally, the coordinator will oversee the content displayed on digital signage throughout the club and will be responsible for creating graphics and posters to promote member events. The position also involves writing and editing club communications, producing the quarterly newsletter, and capturing photo and video content for promotional purposes. The coordinator will maintain the club's image and video archives and curate content for a monthly video newsletter produced by the Golf Channel. Collaboration with the club's Communications Committee and assisting the publicist with media relations are also key components of this role. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor and handling sensitive information discreetly.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain content on the club's website, both public and member-only sides.
  • Manage the club's social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Create and send member communications via email and text message.
  • Manage and update content on digital signage throughout the club.
  • Create graphics and posters for member event promotion.
  • Write and edit club member communications.
  • Create and update club promotional materials in coordination with the Membership Director.
  • Create and edit the Club's quarterly newsletter publication.
  • Capture photo and video content for promotion and archives.
  • Organize and maintain the club's image and video archives.
  • Curate content for the club's monthly Golf Channel-produced video newsletter.
  • Maintain the club's member events and internal staff calendars.
  • Assist the club's publicist in story creation and media relations.
  • Create and distribute monthly email marketing campaigns through Mailchimp.
  • Work with the club's Communications Committee.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in marketing or communications.
  • Prior private club, customer service, and/or administrative experience is highly desired.
  • Technology proficient in Microsoft Office programs along with social media platforms.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technology and software programs is a must.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to complete projects on short deadlines and operate through regular interruptions.
  • A professional appearance and demeanor along with the ability to discreetly handle sensitive and confidential information.
