About the position

The Marketing Communications Manager will leverage marketing and social media management skills to enhance the client's fitness center and virtual fitness programming. This role focuses on strategic planning and execution of engaging opportunities through live events and virtual offerings, aiming to boost employee engagement in fitness programs and foster fitness communities. The ideal candidate will work closely with client communications and marketing teams, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and measuring the success of marketing efforts through data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and create communications such as emails, newsletters, publications, and articles.
  • Create opportunities for new marketing strategies and communication efforts.
  • Design marketing, communication, and social media campaigns, including virtual fitness offerings.
  • Establish guidelines for digital content creation and formulate appealing topic ideas.
  • Ensure consistency in marketing and social media messages across accounts and provide training to site teams.
  • Monitor and respond to queries and comments on social media platforms.
  • Measure success by collecting data from marketing efforts to determine ROI and improve future strategies.
  • Expand social media presence on new and existing platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Research and monitor competitor activity.
  • Create and distribute engaging written or graphic content for newsletters, web pages, and social media.
  • Build connections with industry professionals and influencers via social media.
  • Collaborate with Client's Communication and Marketing Leads to align efforts with brand guidelines.
  • Deliver communication solutions that measurably impact wellness.
  • Utilize technology and metrics analysis to measure success and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Stay updated with the latest social media best practices and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Communications or Exercise Science/Kinesiology.
  • 3+ years of digital marketing experience, including social marketing/community management and influencer marketing.
  • Strong storytelling ability.
  • Capability to activate, excite, and grow community engagement.
  • Ability to drive social strategy with a data-driven approach focused on ROI.
  • Proven understanding of customer needs and translating them into relevant content.

  • Management experience in a fitness environment.
