About the position

The Communications Assistant for Digital Marketing in the Engineering department at Villanova University is a student position aimed at supporting the communication efforts of the Engineering Entrepreneurship Program. The role involves creating promotional materials, managing social media, and assisting with outreach events, providing students with hands-on experience in digital marketing and communications within an academic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit promotional materials such as flyers, posters, newsletters, podcasts, and videos for program events and activities.
  • Manage social media accounts and content for the Engineering Entrepreneurship Program.
  • Staff in-person outreach events to promote the program.
  • Assist with various other related tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of Office 360 applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with different social media platforms.
  • Experience with graphic design, audio/video editing, and web development tools.
