The Communications Coordinator at Youth & Family Services, Inc. is responsible for promoting the organization and its initiatives through effective communication strategies. Responsibilities

• Promote and share information about Youth & Family Services and its initiatives to increase visibility and community support.
• Create and edit agency materials such as newsletters, press releases, and brochures.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community media for frequent coverage of agency programs.
• Participate in steering committees for special events and oversee marketing materials.
• Support fundraising campaigns by creating promotional materials as needed.
• Utilize social media to communicate agency messages effectively.
• Act as lead staff photographer to capture and maintain a library of images for communication purposes.
• Coordinate the development of recruitment materials for YFS programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience and knowledge in public relations and marketing.
• Knowledge of the Rapid City area.
• Excellent writing, public speaking, and communication skills.
• Computer competency and good planning skills.
• Personal motivation and ability to motivate others.
• Experience working with public and private organizations.
