About the position

The communications coordinator is a key member of AdventHealth's marketing and communications team. The communications coordinator leads out in the campus social media strategy and execution across the Georgia market, as well as creates newsletters and other communication mediums for internal and external audiences. The communications coordinator also serves as the market lead for communications on AdventHealth's intranet site.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes weekly/monthly communications toolkits to disseminate information across the market in a timely and effective manner.
  • Writes press releases for Georgia Market for new physicians, events, hospital or service line awards, and anything else that is newsworthy.
  • Distributes news releases to appropriate news outlets and posts them on Connect (intranet).
  • Serves as the Georgia Market lead for communications on AdventHealth's intranet site, Connect.
  • Writes articles including but not limited to: market-level articles about service lines, hospitals, physician practices, articles for special sections of local newspapers, magazine articles, and more.
  • Assists with communication tasks related to change management.
  • Serves as editor for newsletters for campus e-newsletter, community partner/stakeholder newsletter, and more.
  • Execute on day-to-day social media strategy, content and campaigns across social platforms.
  • Plan, write and edit daily social media posts on multiple channels for multiple audiences.
  • Scheduling and posting daily content to our current social media pages.
  • Utilizes monthly social media toolkits provided by corporate.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to build out the editorial calendar.
  • Ensure copy is written in AdventHealth's brand voice and imagery/video meets brand standards.
  • Work with corporate social media team to provide social media reporting, providing thoughtful, strategic insight to internal teams to help guide decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communications or related field
  • At least 1 year experience
