About the position

The Communications Coordinator at Paramount Global plays a vital role in supporting the communications and publicity teams by managing press releases, maintaining press lists, and coordinating announcements with senior leaders. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to high-level projects while developing skills under the guidance of experienced mentors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Paramount Global press releases and press lists, updating the Paramount Press Express site with assets and priority titles during major events.
  • Develop and maintain the master press release calendar, coordinating closely with senior leaders and studio partners to align announcements.
  • Monitor media outlets, local newspapers, and social media for Paramount Global references.
  • Contribute to weekly press coverage reports and track competitive initiatives, compiling relevant reports.
  • Build and update press materials, such as bios, talking points, and project synopses; assist with newsletters and other internal messaging needs.
  • Track communications budget, process invoices, and support finance reporting.
  • Assist with writing, reports, employee communications, and event support as needed for the Cross Company (XCo) Internal Communications Team.
  • Research and track editorial calendars for press, executive speaking opportunities, and awards.
  • Handle press and vendor inquiries, directing them to the appropriate parties; raise concerns when necessary.
  • Provide support at screenings, conventions, and special events as directed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, media, or a related field.
  • One to two years of experience in publicity at a streaming platform, network, studio, or agency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, PowerPoint, Slack, and basic database skills.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work atmosphere.
  • Strong prioritization, adaptability, and collaboration skills.
