About the position

The Communications Center Dispatcher is responsible for supervising shift operations in the Hospital Communications Center during the absence of the Lead Communications Center Specialist. This role involves effectively operating all systems within the center, coordinating officer activity, and providing minor maintenance or replacement of system components throughout the hospital. The dispatcher works independently under stressful conditions and is crucial for maintaining communication and security within the hospital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise shift operations in the Hospital Communications Center in the absence of the Lead Communications Center Specialist.
  • Operate all systems within the Hospital Communications Center effectively.
  • Coordinate and distribute officer activity during assigned shifts.
  • Provide minor maintenance or replacement of Communications Center system components located throughout the hospital.
  • Resolve common access control, CCTV, and radio problems.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • CPR Certification within six months of employment.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in computer control monitoring and CCTV monitoring systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under stressful conditions.
