About the position
The New England Basketball Winter Internship Program offers an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in sports communications. This internship is designed for individuals pursuing a degree in Communications, Sport Management, or a related field, and will involve various responsibilities related to media relations and communication efforts for events and programs.
Responsibilities
- Draft press releases, articles, and other communication materials.
- Assist in managing media relations and responding to inquiries.
- Help coordinate communication efforts for events and programs.
- Monitor media coverage and compile reports on communications effectiveness.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Sport Management, or a related field.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
Nice-to-haves
- Interest in sports communications preferred.
