About the position

The Communications Manager for DSP & DA Communications at Amazon plays a pivotal role in supporting the company's mission to create the safest, most efficient, and sustainable delivery network. This position is focused on enhancing the engagement and satisfaction of Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) and Delivery Associates (DAs) who are integral to Amazon's Last Mile delivery network. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing best-in-class communications strategies that resonate with over 2,500 DSPs and 175,000 DAs, ensuring they are well-informed and engaged in their roles. In this fast-paced environment, the Communications Manager will need to exercise sound judgment and strategic thinking, particularly when crafting communications that are clear, concise, and impactful. The role requires a strong emphasis on high standards for DSP-facing communications, necessitating collaboration with various cross-functional partners, including program managers, product managers, and business leaders. The ideal candidate will bring innovative ideas to streamline and enhance communication processes, leveraging storytelling to highlight the successes and experiences of DSPs and DAs. This position is a unique blend of B2B and internal communications, requiring a candidate who thrives in ambiguity and possesses a high bias for action. The Communications Manager will support a multi-channel content strategy that includes written communications, executive messaging, infographics, and video content. They will also be responsible for translating complex messaging into simple, digestible formats, ensuring that all communications are effective and engaging. The DSP & DA Communications and Engagement team is characterized by a collaborative and inclusive culture, where team members, despite being spread across various locations, maintain strong connections through interactive activities and shared experiences. The team is dedicated to providing trustworthy information that empowers DSPs and DAs to operate their businesses efficiently and foster a safety-first culture.

Responsibilities

  • Support a multi-channel content strategy, including written communications, executive messaging, infographics, and video.
  • Translate complex messaging into simple and easy-to-understand content.
  • Interview DSPs and DAs and build advocacy stories to promote the program as an entrepreneurial opportunity of choice.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications.
  • Respond to business needs and develop messaging for change announcements.
  • Own multiple communication channels for DSP Owners, including the Communication Center, Email, and SMS.
  • Communicate to DAs through the DA In-App News Feed within their Amazon Delivery App.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
