The Communications Manager, Global Food Systems at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) plays a pivotal role in managing and implementing comprehensive marketing and communications plans that highlight the extensive range of TNC's food systems projects, programs, and partnerships. This position is crucial for supporting the communications needs and opportunities of the organization, facilitating ongoing communication among the globally dispersed team involved in various food systems workstreams, including fisheries, regenerative agriculture, and zero-conversion commodities. The Communications Manager will report directly to the Associate Director of Global Agriculture & Land Use, ensuring that all communications efforts align with TNC's mission and objectives. In this role, the Communications Manager will coordinate various components of digital, social, and earned media, as well as manage logistics for off-site events as directed by the program's marketing and communications plans. The position requires a strategic thinker who can employ a variety of communication tactics to effectively convey TNC's goals, objectives, and mission to diverse audiences worldwide. The Communications Manager will also be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with both internal and external partners, ensuring that all communications are cohesive and impactful. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing communications deliverables across multiple, simultaneous projects. They will be adept at creating compelling communications materials and packages tailored to various target audiences. Additionally, the Communications Manager will design processes that streamline marketing and communications management among team members, ensuring that project goals and metrics are met on schedule and within budget. Excellent writing and editing skills, along with strong project management experience, are essential for success in this role.
