About the position

The Communications Manager at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado (RMHCSC) is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's marketing and communication efforts. This part-time role focuses on developing and executing a comprehensive messaging plan across various platforms, including print, electronic media, and social media, to enhance community awareness and support fundraising initiatives. The position requires collaboration with the Development Team and external contractors to create engaging content and maintain the organization's brand integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an annual messaging plan across all communication platforms.
  • Create and oversee the design and production of marketing and public relations materials.
  • Utilize multimedia to produce engaging content and stories for various platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a social media strategy to enhance engagement and community awareness.
  • Build and maintain an organized library of RMHCSC materials for internal use.
  • Ensure compliance with RMHC Global branding and AI standards in all materials.
  • Collaborate with staff on fundraising projects and produce necessary materials.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, providing updates as needed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in marketing, PR, and media relations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Constant Contact, Canva, Snowball, and Adobe.
  • Proven experience utilizing social media scheduling tools.
  • Experience in video editing and content generation using tools like Videoleap and Capcut.
  • Strong storytelling abilities and content creation skills.
  • Ability to monitor and analyze metrics effectively.
  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
