About the position

The Marketing & Communication Manager / Compliance Coordinator at MAN Engines & Components will play a pivotal role in shaping the marketing and communication strategies for the North, Central, and South America regions. This position is responsible for creating and managing marketing materials that align with the company's brand goals and product launches. The individual will oversee compliance-related activities, ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant laws and regulations while maintaining strong relationships with business partners and dealers. The role requires a blend of creativity and strategic thinking, as the manager will develop and implement marketing communication strategies, create engaging content for various platforms, and manage media relations to enhance the company's visibility and reputation. In addition to marketing responsibilities, the Compliance Coordinator aspect of the role involves overseeing the screening process for potential business partners, monitoring regulatory changes, and guiding compliance training programs for employees. The individual will serve as a liaison between the compliance team in Germany and other departments, addressing compliance issues and facilitating resolutions for dealers. This dual focus on marketing and compliance makes the position integral to the company's operations, requiring a candidate who is not only skilled in marketing but also knowledgeable about compliance management practices. The successful candidate will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from planning and executing marketing campaigns to organizing events and creating local marketing materials. They will also be responsible for maintaining the company's brand reputation and ensuring consistent messaging across all communication channels. Responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out marketing communication strategies to support brand goals, product launches, and campaigns.
  • Write content for social media, emails, and internal communications.
  • Ensure messaging and branding are consistent; manage brand reputation.
  • Build and maintain media relationships; prepare press materials and manage coverage.
  • Oversee marketing campaigns, including planning, budgeting, and tracking results.
  • Plan and manage events like boat shows and company gatherings.
  • Handle the purchase and creation of merchandise.
  • Create marketing materials and content for print, digital, multimedia, intranet, extranet, and the website.
  • Manage internal and external communications, including press information, newsletters, and editorials.
  • Maintain strong relationships with MAN dealers and provide guidance on local marketing strategies.
  • Manage various office projects, including renovations and space re-configuration.
  • Oversee the screening process for potential business partners to ensure they meet compliance standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization, and revise compliance practices as necessary.
  • Guide training programs for employees to ensure they understand and adhere to compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the point of contact between the compliance team in Germany and other departments to address compliance issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a marketing and communications role with demonstrated success in strategy development, content creation, and campaign management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; familiar with digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • At least 1 year of experience managing corporate social media accounts, including page creation, editorial planning, community management, and performance measurement.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience creating print materials in a corporate setting.
  • Experience with compliance management tools and practices is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for events and tournaments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining etiquette and professionalism.
