About the position

Cristo Rey New York High School (CRNYHS) is seeking a Communications/Marketing Manager to join our mission-driven team. This role is pivotal in conceptualizing and communicating the school's story to various audiences through multiple platforms. The Communications/Marketing Manager will play a significant role in expanding the reach and impact of CRNYHS, which serves promising students who have been educationally underserved and possess limited financial resources. The school is committed to educating the whole child, fostering continuous improvement among faculty and staff, and engaging all stakeholders in its mission. The successful candidate will manage the creation of general communications, including the annual report, quarterly newsletters, media releases, and new photo and video content. They will develop marketing strategies in collaboration with colleagues, assist leadership in disseminating key messages about the school's mission, and promote the corporate work study program (CWSP) to professional organizations. The role also involves creating cross-platform content for various departments, analyzing web and email analytics to enhance marketing efforts, and managing the school's website and social media platforms. Additionally, the Communications/Marketing Manager will ensure messaging and branding consistency across all external communications, championing the correct usage of graphic and editorial standards. A regular presence at events and participation in school and professional development activities will also be expected to support the mission of CRNYHS.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the creation of general communications including the annual report, quarterly school newsletter, media releases, and new photo and video content.
  • Develop strategies to market and promote CRNYHS in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Assist leadership in developing and disseminating key messages about the school's mission and impact.
  • Develop and implement strategies to market Cristo Rey's corporate work study program (CWSP) to professional organizations.
  • Create cross-platform content for CWSP, Advancement, Admissions, College Guidance, etc.
  • Collect and analyze web and email analytics reports to improve marketing efforts.
  • Manage the school's website, coordinating a refresh of photos and content regularly.
  • Keep website content accurate and relevant as needed, serving as the onsite expert of the Wix platform.
  • Manage the school's social media platforms, pursuing and posting updated content frequently.
  • Track and re-post strong content from various partners with comments to enhance engagement.
  • Ensure messaging and branding consistency across all external communications, maintaining branding and identity guidelines.
  • Support the mission of CRNYHS by participating in events and professional development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., communications, marketing, public relations, journalism).
  • Computer skills suited to the position (e.g., Wix, Canva, social media management tools, video editing software, Microsoft Suite).
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Consistent record of managing multiple projects and collaborating well with peers and supervisors.
