In addition to serving as the designated Public Records Request Coordinator, the specialist will be responsible for reviewing major publications at the university level. This includes overseeing the President's Ambassadors and managing the creation, review, and maintenance of policies within the Office of Communications and Marketing. The position demands strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively while maintaining high standards of communication and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of interpersonal skills, project management experience, and a solid understanding of best practices in communications and public relations. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the university designated Public Records Request Coordinator.
  • Act as a university level reviewer for major publications.
  • Support the Rural Reimagined Grand Challenge and represent the university with local and regional business owners through Chamber activities.
  • Oversee the President's Ambassadors program.
  • Manage the creation, review, and maintenance of policies for the Office of Communications and Marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Three years of related professional experience.
  • Proficient in software such as MS Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Knowledge of best practices for customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Writing, or a related field.
