About the position

TEKsystems is seeking a Communications Network Engineer to support a Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise program. This role requires a strong background in network engineering, with a focus on operational support and configuration of various network devices in a large-scale environment. The position is 100% onsite in Honolulu, Hawai?i, and requires an active security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support and configuration of network devices including servers, routers, and switches.
• Conduct network configurations and refreshing on Cisco, Aruba, and Brocade R&S.
• Run ACAS scans and upload results to VRAM.
• Utilize command line interface (CLI) for 90% of the work conducted.

Requirements

• Must have Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
• Security+ certification (or IAT level 2) is required, with the ability to obtain CCNA within 6 months of hire.
• 4+ years of overall networking experience in a LAN/MAN/BAN/WAN environment.
• Experience with network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP is a plus.
• Command line experience is essential.
