About the position

The Communications & Outreach Operations Analyst at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) plays a crucial role in supporting outreach efforts for technology commercialization programs, specifically IMPEL and Cradle to Commerce. This position involves planning, executing, and coordinating communications-related activities to engage innovators and promote climate technologies. The analyst will work under the supervision of the Program Manager, contributing to various outreach strategies, content development, and program administration.

Responsibilities

  • Support general pre-work of communications-related activities and coordinate with the ETA Communications Office to develop outreach strategies.
  • Assist in planning and executing outreach activities and timelines based on program goals.
  • Interact with the virtual Innovator community by updating Slack and LinkedIn pages, and developing visual content for social media.
  • Conduct market research for relevant conferences and events for program participation.
  • Draft and format blog posts and develop quarterly newsletters.
  • Provide administrative support by creating graphics for presentations and maintaining program files and data.
  • Track and update Innovator progress and ensure consistent branding across communication channels.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree with 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Experience supporting the operations of a small to moderate scope program.
  • Experience developing content for newsletters, blogs, and social media.
  • Demonstrated experience in presentation design, program coordination, and logistics.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Familiarity with communications and design tools such as Google Suite, Canva, and video editing software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
