About The Position
Under limited supervision, plans, develops and implements a communications or outreach program and/or public relations plan for the Georgia Department of Corrections. Leads and develops strategic planning efforts and creates/develops professional communication materials. Writes and publishes web-based communications and social media content to shape public perception of agency to increase awareness of its work and goals. May assist in the planning and coordination of agency internal and external events and other projects. This position will require some after hours, possible weekend work, and some travel. Salary will be considered commensurate with experience and the position is a hybrid of in-person and telework.
