About the position

Advanced Decision Vectors, LLC (ADV) is seeking a Communications Specialist with an active Secret Security Clearance to join our team in Quantico, VA. Established in 2009, ADV provides superior program management, program support, strategic planning, and systems engineering to both Federal and Commercial sectors. The NCIS is responsible for criminal, counterintelligence, and counterterrorism investigations and operations, and one of its top priorities is to establish and protect its brand in the digital space. The Communications Specialist will focus on web design and communications strategy, playing a crucial role in the Office of Strategic Communications. This position requires a blend of creativity and technical skills to develop multimedia content that aligns with NCIS style guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for general administration and customer service, ensuring that communications products effectively meet customer requirements. This includes collaborating with internal stakeholders to create engaging multimedia content that enhances the NCIS brand. Key responsibilities include designing and developing multimedia elements for the company website, such as homepage sliders, banners, interactive infographics, and product/service videos. The Communications Specialist will work closely with the Web Development Team to ensure seamless integration of multimedia content into website layouts, optimizing performance and accessibility. Regular audits of website multimedia assets will be conducted to identify opportunities for optimization, including improving load times and mobile responsiveness. Additionally, the role involves cross-platform integration, where the specialist will align multimedia content strategies with broader marketing initiatives and campaigns. Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics for multimedia content on social media and website platforms will be essential, providing insights and recommendations for optimization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Content Development, and UX/UI Design, will be necessary to align multimedia content strategies with overall business objectives and user experience goals.

Responsibilities

  • Providing general administration and customer service by interpreting customer requirements and developing communication products that align with NCIS style guidelines.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to facilitate the creation of multimedia content.
  • Designing and developing multimedia elements for the company website, including homepage sliders, banners, interactive infographics, and product/service videos.
  • Working with the Web Development Team to integrate multimedia content into website layouts and user interfaces, ensuring optimal performance and accessibility.
  • Conducting regular audits of website multimedia assets to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
  • Implementing multimedia content management systems or plugins to streamline the publishing and management of website multimedia assets.
  • Integrating multimedia content strategies with broader marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics for multimedia content on social media and website platforms, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align multimedia content strategies with overall business objectives and user experience goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Digital Media, Multimedia, or a related field preferred.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • 4-10 years of relevant experience in developing and implementing multiplatform digital campaigns, media outreach, and daily operations.
  • 4-10 years of relevant experience in designing and tailoring messaging and content strategies for the general public and special target audiences.
