About the position

This position is a 12-month contract to hire role that requires a dedicated communications professional to collaborate with internal and digital communication teams at headquarters and globally. The primary focus will be on sharing Community Impact opportunities and initiatives, which involves developing a wide range of communications content tailored for both internal and external audiences. This includes creating social media content, media materials for Ecolab Foundation grant partner organizations, web content, news articles, employee communications, key messages, and presentations. The role also entails supporting team processes across various channels, which includes content creation, content review, publishing, editing, and metrics reporting for the internal INSIDE website. Regular announcements regarding program opportunities and the Giving Site will be part of the responsibilities. Additionally, the candidate will be tasked with designing and creating communication tools as needed, such as email templates, volunteer signage, t-shirts, logos, and videos. Managing design work and maintaining a relationship with a creative agency to ensure effective communication strategy and deliverables will also be crucial. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with diverse teams and contribute to impactful community initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and digital communication professionals at headquarters and around the world to share Community Impact opportunities and initiatives
  • Develop a variety of communications content for both internal and external audiences, including social media content, media materials, Ecolab Foundation grant partner organizations, web content, news articles, employee communications, key messages and presentations
  • Work across channels to support team processes, including content creation, content review, publishing, editing and metrics reporting for internal INSIDE website
  • Make regular announcements around program opportunities and Giving Site
  • Design and create communication tools as needed (i.e.: email templates, volunteer signage, t-shirts, logos, videos, etc.)
  • Manage design work and creative agency relationship working on communication strategy and deliverables

Requirements

  • 2+ years of communications experience, with relevant experience in agency and/or in-house communications roles
  • Ability to interact with external contacts, employees at all levels of the company including CEO, and handle sensitive or confidential information
  • Experience in content development, media relations, social media, marketing or internal communications role
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
  • Expert software skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Canva, Adobe Acrobat Professional
