About the position

The position involves managing the development of all process-improvement training and communication materials for the company. The successful candidate will establish, maintain, and build key partnerships with division and corporate leadership, corporate training and development, vendors, and key departments within the company to ensure that the necessary resources are acquired to meet target rollout dates. This role is crucial in ensuring that training initiatives align with the company's Customer 1st strategy and overall corporate objectives. The individual will lead the training team in designing company-wide training materials, which include toolkits, KTV broadcasts, web-based learning modules (WBLs), and communication kits. These materials are aimed at increasing efficiencies, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall training experience for employees. Establishing and maintaining relationships with corporate departments, division leadership, and associates is essential for the successful development and rollout of training solutions. The candidate will guide the facilitation of working sessions to develop current and future-state training processes, ensuring that all training materials adhere to best instructional learning practices. Additionally, the role requires defining and documenting current and future state business process training, identifying process improvement needs, and developing plans to implement suggested improvements. The candidate will also assist in planning and coordinating key meetings to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the training development process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the training team in the design of company-wide training materials including toolkits, KTV broadcasts, web-based learning modules (WBLs), and communication kits.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with corporate departments, division leadership, and associates to ensure successful development and rollout of training solutions.
  • Guide the facilitation of working sessions to develop current and future-state training processes.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Training and Development in the creation and review of training materials using best instructional learning practices.
  • Ensure that training solutions and best practices align with corporate objectives and initiatives.
  • Define and document current and future state business process training, identifying process improvement needs and developing plans for implementation.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating key meetings.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in developing training processes/instructional design utilizing different delivery methods.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and assign work according to business priorities and strategies.
  • Ability to escalate issues appropriately and drive them to resolution.
  • Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to drive toward solutions.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized and proficient at multi-tasking.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Canva.
  • Experience with Power Automate and Teams survey forms creation.
  • Previously responsible for managing releases using Jira.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of retail operations through store and division work experience.
  • Experience in supervising technical writers and the creation of learning tools.
  • Previous involvement with process improvement solution development and/or rollout.
  • Lean Sigma Green Belt or higher training.
