About the position

The Communications Specialist will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a comprehensive communications and marketing plan to support recruitment and enrollment goals. This position involves overseeing the communication dissemination process through the Slate CRM system, managing communication calendars, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. The specialist will also participate in the Slate community to enhance workflow and system effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of an annual comprehensive communications and marketing plan.
• Oversee the communication dissemination process, including setup, configuration, testing, and delivery of communications through the Slate CRM system.
• Maintain a comprehensive list of all communications, including delivery method, timeline, and accompanying forms.
• Manage communications calendars and update timelines to ensure effective results and meet deadlines.
• Manage the communication review process, including decision and scholarship letters, collaborating with the EM leadership team.
• Prepare admission packet materials for mailing and assist with packaging and mailing Admissions materials.
• Maintain admission packet inventory for decision releases.
• Review and update student record data, run data validation reports, and troubleshoot data accuracy.
• Actively participate in the Slate community to identify best practices and new opportunities for workflow enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience; higher education preferred.
• Experience working in a Student Information System, database, and/or CRM required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required.
• Experience working with Slate or another CRM is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, workflow, and office equipment.
• Ability to learn conditional logic, liquid markup, and query writing.
