About the position

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Communications Specialist to join our team at Boardwalk Pipelines, LP in Houston, TX. This role involves supporting our communication strategies, managing day-to-day internal and external communications, and contributing to our overall brand messaging. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our communication efforts and ensuring that our messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with our organizational goals. As a Communications Specialist, you will assist in the development and implementation of communication strategies that resonate with our diverse stakeholders, including employees, customers, and the media. You will manage daily internal communication initiatives, ensuring that all messaging is coherent and effectively disseminated throughout the organization. Additionally, you will support external communication efforts, which include drafting press releases, managing social media content, and coordinating with media outlets to promote our brand and services. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with various departments to ensure that all messaging is aligned and cohesive. You will also monitor the effectiveness of our communication strategies, providing reports and insights that can help refine our approach. Furthermore, you will assist in managing communication-related projects and events, contributing to the overall success of our initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of communication strategies.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a communications role or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with digital, analytical and social media platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in crafting press releases, assisting in handling media inquiries, and developing effective communications with diverse stakeholders including investors, customers and employees.
  • Familiarity with the oil and gas industry, specifically the midstream natural gas sector including key players and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter (X), SEO, Google Analytics, graphic design, video editing, podcast editing.
