About the position

Kforce has a client in Redmond, WA that is seeking a Communications Specialist. This role is pivotal in developing, implementing, and managing the ongoing social media strategy that aligns with Microsoft business goals. The Communications Specialist will be responsible for managing individual platforms, ensuring that content is reviewed and approved in a timely manner. The position requires a strong focus on content creation, where the specialist will develop a unique style, voice, and tone that aligns with the company brand standards for each executive. Weekly content recommendations will be created for each executive, ensuring that they are interconnected when appropriate for their audiences. The role also involves creating and editing engaging multimedia content, including text, images, and videos tailored specifically for LinkedIn. Video content will be a critical element of this position, and candidates must be comfortable with ideating, filming, producing, and editing video content. The Communications Specialist will work with existing content to enhance it through the lens of a subject matter expert. In terms of community management, the specialist will provide strategic follower recommendations, respond to ad-hoc queries promptly, and monitor industry trends. Staying updated on current industry trends, competitors, and innovations is essential to flag relevant information for stakeholders. Analytics and reporting are also key components of this role. The Communications Specialist will provide regular reports on social media performance, including insights and recommendations for improvement. They will support deck creation for individual strategy and reporting, manage weekly content recommendations across all executives, and develop monthly read-out reports and quarterly progress updates leveraging LinkedIn dashboards to ensure objectives are met while considering shifts in the business and platform updates.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage ongoing social media strategy aligned with Microsoft business goals.
  • Manage and participate in reviews and approvals of content.
  • Develop individual style, voice, and tone for each executive in line with company brand standards.
  • Create weekly content recommendations for each executive, interconnecting them when appropriate for their audiences.
  • Create and edit engaging multimedia content (text, image, video) tailored for LinkedIn, with a focus on video content.
  • Provide strategic follower recommendations and respond to ad-hoc queries in a timely manner.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors to flag relevant information for stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reports on social media performance, including insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support deck creation for individual strategy and reporting.
  • Manage weekly content recommendations across all executives, including copy, links/imagery, and follower recommendations.
  • Align with brand content and editorial calendars that support executive strategic pillars.
  • Develop monthly read-out reports and quarterly progress updates leveraging LinkedIn dashboard.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Social Media Manager or Content Creator.
  • Hands-on experience in content creation as a content creator, writer, or similar role.
  • Deep knowledge of LinkedIn and the social media landscape, including evolving trends.
  • Ability to edit photos and videos using software like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro X, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience in driving proactive and impactful organic and paid thought leadership campaigns (preferred).
  • Experience working with and supporting senior executives (preferred).
  • Knowledgeable in SEO, web analytics, social media, and digital marketing (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft's products, services, culture, and values (preferred).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
