About the position

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Communications Specialist for a hybrid position (one day in-office) in Brooklyn, NY. The selected candidate must reside in the EST time zone and have a LinkedIn account. The Communications Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Communications Division, collaborating with division leaders, and working closely with the LRP Organizational Change Management work stream. This individual will be responsible for developing, refining, and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that effectively engages both internal and external stakeholders. The Communications Specialist will contribute to the creation and review of content across multiple channels, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with the clients' goals. The role requires demonstrated experience in developing and implementing thoughtful, people-centered communications and high-quality communication plans. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing, content development, and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences. Strong organizational and project management skills are essential, along with responsiveness to deadlines and an ability to think strategically and independently. The Communications Specialist will also need to convey strategy and ideas in a manner that invites feedback, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. In this position, the Communications Specialist will develop, review, and implement a comprehensive communications strategy for the Legacy Replacement Project (LRP). They will collaborate with division leaders and other stakeholders to create and refine content across multiple channels, including emails, meeting materials, posters, and videos. Additionally, the Specialist will review and edit design materials to ensure consistency and clarity, represent the Communications Division in meetings, and work with Business Units, Business Analysts, and IT to ensure the accuracy and clarity of materials before production. Other duties may be assigned as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and implement a comprehensive communications strategy for the Legacy Replacement Project (LRP).
  • Collaborate with division leaders and other stakeholders to create and refine content across multiple channels (emails, meeting materials, posters, videos, etc.).
  • Review and edit design materials to ensure consistency and clarity.
  • Represent the Communications Division in meetings, providing input and sharing updates.
  • Work with Business Units, Business Analysts, and IT to ensure accuracy and clarity of materials before production.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
