About the position

As a Communications Specialist with our global Life Science Communications Team, you will provide essential support for a variety of internal and external communications, executive communications support, and event-planning projects. This role is designed for someone who is flexible, creative, and diligent, with a proactive approach to work. You will be responsible for developing strategic internal campaigns and programming that drive engagement, create awareness, and educate the global population. The position is based on-site in St. Louis, with hybrid opportunities available, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work. You will work closely with the Communications Business Partner team and leverage our internal creative agency to develop materials that support various activities, from print to video content. Your tasks will primarily focus on internal and executive communications, where you will support on-site activations such as town halls, coffee chats, and executive visits. You will execute our communications strategy, providing tactical support for meeting logistics and campaign execution on a global level. Additionally, you will be responsible for content creation and maintenance, leading the execution of our internal communications newsletter and managing content for our intranet. Responsibilities

  • Support on-site activations around St. Louis sites, including town halls, coffee chats, and executive visits.
  • Execute the communications strategy, providing tactical support for meeting logistics and campaign execution on a global level.
  • Provide executive support with assigned leadership teams, including PowerPoint slide and e-newsletter creation.
  • Collaborate with the internal creative agency, Studio M, to develop creative materials for various activities.
  • Lead the execution of the internal communications newsletter and manage content for the intranet.
  • Support various communications-led employee engagement initiatives and perform administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or public relations.
  • 2-3 years of experience in communications.
  • Experience in public relations for at least 2 years.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Teams, Planner, Forms, Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with event planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with content creation for newsletters and intranet management.
