About the position

The Communications Specialist position at the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General involves working closely with the Communications Director and Press Secretary to enhance public awareness of the office's mission through various communication channels, primarily social media. The role is focused on content creation, media monitoring, and assisting in digital content production.

Responsibilities

  • Create content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky, and Truth Social.
  • Monitor social media related to the work of the Office of the Attorney General (OAG).
  • Collect and distribute daily news media clips.
  • Assist in the creation of digital, audio, and video content for public consumption.
  • Assist the website administrator on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • At least two years of communications, journalism, public relations, or related job experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of social media content creation.
