About the position

The Jr. Communications Specialist position is an entry-level role designed for a highly motivated communications professional eager to gain experience within an international corporation. This role offers the opportunity to learn fundamental tools, platforms, and processes essential for supporting the Communications function. The position is based at 950 Deerfield Parkway, Buffalo Grove, IL, and operates on a day shift schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The duration of the contract is from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025. In this role, the Jr. Communications Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the Communications team. Key responsibilities include writing, formatting, and distributing organizational announcements, as well as formatting and distributing newsletters for both internal and external audiences. The specialist will also create, analyze, and report on internal surveys, build and maintain internal websites using platforms such as SharePoint and High Spot, and manage the Digital Asset Management system by uploading assets and organizing content. Additionally, the specialist will assist in the marketing efforts by uploading contacts into the Marketing Automation Platform (Eloqua) generated from various sources such as webinars, list buys, and tradeshows. The role also involves supporting the budget process by creating Purchase Orders (POs) and Statements of Work, managing the meeting card process, and tracking expenses. The Jr. Communications Specialist will own the case study repository, ensuring ongoing updates and submissions, and will support quarterly metrics report outs, along with other project-based activities as assigned.

Responsibilities
