About the position

The internship position at Motorola Solutions is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree, focusing on developing their skills in systems engineering. Interns will assist Systems Engineers in various tasks, starting with small projects and gradually taking on larger responsibilities. The role emphasizes customer engagement, technical strategy development, and proposal generation for mission-critical radio communication solutions, all while fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Systems Engineers in all aspects of their work.
• Design mission-critical radio communication solutions by consulting with customers to determine their needs.
• Develop technical strategies and generate proposals for customers in cooperation with sales, product development, and project management teams.
• Conduct coverage and antenna site selection, frequency planning, interference analysis, and design of system architecture.
• Select equipment and present proposed solutions to customers.
• Keep sales professionals and customers updated on the latest Motorola technology offerings.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree with a graduation date on or after December 2025.
• Preferred emphasis in Wireless, Electrical, System or Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment.
• Experience working with customers is desirable.
• Experience/Knowledge in radio systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, broadband, microwave, and/or networking is desirable.
• Experience/Knowledge of communications networks (MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP) is desirable.
• Certifications through CCNA, CompTIA, and/or Amateur Radio/HAM is desirable.
